Assinman Rural Bank Limited is one of the 144 Rural and Community Banks dotted all over across Ghana to offer financial services especially to the rural folks who hitherto had no access to such financial services and were therefore left out in the rural financial inclusion.

The bank was established as a limited liability company under the Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) on the 27th February, 1981, and issued with a Certificate to Commence Business on the 12th October, 1981. It was licensed by the Bank of Ghana to carry on the business of Banking on the 18th November, 1982
